Many of us struggle to know what to wear in winter. Staying warm should be the priority, but that doesn’t mean you can’t look stylish at the same time. Below are 12 essential items of winterwear that will have you feeling warm but looking cool. 

Beanie

There are lots of winter headwear options to consider: fur hats, bobble hats, berets, trapper hats and even balaclavas. However, the beanie is the most timeless and versatile option. There are a few styles of beanies, but the two main types are the classic beanie and the slouchy beanie. The classic beanie has more of a tight snug look, whereas the slouchy beanie has a looser fit (which may help reduce ‘hat hair’). Beanies can be worn above the ears or over the ears to keep them warm. For those with long hair, they’re best worn with your hair down or your hair in a low ponytail. Choose a beanie in a neutral color (black, red or white) to pair with any outfit.

This is half the reason why skiers wear goggles. Consider buying yourself a pair of sunglasses in case of a snow day. Lenses with a blue tin can look particularly wintry.
