It's Family Fun Time!

Family time is just so precious, and you won’t realize that until it all starts to dwindle away. As your children get older, they will no doubt drift into their own lives, they even might move away! So seeing them might become a little harder, and doing what you’ve loved to do for years might get even harder. So it’s important to think about family time, and how you can have as much of it as possible whilst you still can.

There’s just so many things that you can do to fill the time, and so many things that you can to do make your life happier. We know that some of you will hardly get any true family time at all, no matter how old your children are. Sometimes lives are just so busy, and there’s so much going on every single day, that getting a whole day free to do something just a family, can be tough. Well for all of you, we’re going to make it so much easier. Whether you’re thinking about needing to improve your family fun time in the week, or whether it’s the weekends that you’re free on, these ideas will suit all. So sit back and relax, and see if you can add some of these family fun time ideas into your life!
Building Your Bond Stronger
It’s hard to have family fun time, if you barely have a bond with your family at all. But we know all too well that this is what a lot of people are suffering with when it comes to family time in any shape or form at all. One thing we’re really noticing, is that people are disconnecting with brothers and sister, only leaving the parents in the family picture. What this leaves, is children only having grandparents, and precious family time being missed. There’s nearly nothing that can’t be solved, all you have to do is open yourself up for communication, and solve the problems at hand. It will be so much nicer for you to have a larger family, and for your children to be around a big family support system. If this isn’t something that’s happening to you, then you might be falling victim to the problem that most of you probably are. The problem of your children not wanting to spend time with you. You see this happening mostly with families with teenagers. When they get to their teenage years, the last thing they want to do is hang around with their parents, but if you’re not doing something that suits their age and their likes, then we completely get why. So if you want them to spend more time with you, you need to think about asking them what they might want to do, rather than just telling them they’re coming with you to do something!
Family Game Nights
So, our first real idea for getting in some of that family fun time, is to have a family gaming night once a week. This actually helps to get you all talking, and communicating, rather than just sitting in front of the TV watching a film, and not really talking. The best type of family game night games, are ones like Cluedo or Monopoly. These make the gaming a little more thrilling, as it’s really about outsmarting the others and making the best moves. Monopoly is definitely the firm favorite out of the two we think. There are so many different themes of this game to play, and you can just play it over and over without getting bored. Cluedo does also have a lot of fun themes for you to choose from, so you can make it more kid friendly depending on how old your children are! But you could also accommodate people who like actual gaming, which might suit some of you with teenage boys. You can get online drifting games, shooting games, and a whole other host of genres that you could all play, and see who does the best. You could make it into a competition, with whoever comes first winning something like a chocolate bar!
A Much Needed Weekend Away
We think it’s getting to that time of year, where everyone needs a little break away. In fact, you might think that any time of the year is a time of year to need a little break away, because sometimes life can just get so hectic. And a hectic life is one that’s hard to control, and when life feels hard to control, you’re due a break away. But we know that hopping on a plane is sometimes too expensive, especially when you’re trying to go with a family in tow. So why not think about booking a break away just for the weekend, and doing something that you might not have done before. If you think about going away with family, you might automatically think about going abroad and saving up to go just once a year. But what’s stopping you from making a weekend away a regular occurrence. If you really wanted to do it on a budget, you could go camping. All you would need is a tent and some camping equipment, and a nice location for you to go to. Plus, there really are some stunning destinations around this country as well, all you have to do is a quick Google search, and you should be able to find something suitable. As long as you plan far enough in advance, and make sure there’s plenty of things that you can do in the area you want to go to that is family friendly, you’re just going to have the best time!
Getting A Hobby
Having a hobby is so so important. We think that people really do underestimate the power of having a hobby, and what that can do for you personally, let alone your family. Having a hobby allows you to have an escape from life that you might not have had yet. When life gets hard, we rarely have anywhere to turn where our mind isn’t going to sit and think about it. But with a hobby, we think this is all different. With a hobby, you can completely turn your mind off, and be involved with only what you’re doing, and who you’re doing it with. So for a family hobby, you could have something like cycling. When the weekend weather is so lovely, there will no doubt be so many different trails that you could go and find to cycle on. You could go all around the country if you really wanted to. But once you all get into cycling, you won’t regret it. It’s a great little outlet to have, it keeps you all in good shape, and it gets you out of the house doing something different, which is what we should all be doing!
Booking The Holiday
It’s inevitable. If you want to have some family fun, you’re going to have to think about that family holiday. A family holiday is pretty much essential for the year. It gives you that time to get away from the normal life you’re all used to, and to make memories in some amazing countries around the world. So if you haven’t thought about booking one already, you should definitely think about it now. The best time to go is generally the end of August, when everyone else is getting ready to leave their holiday, and the prices drop rather dramatically.
