Synopsis:

What if Superman never existed? Set two generations before the destruction of Superman's home planet, Krypton follows a young Seg-El, Superman's grandfather, who is faced with a life and death conflict - save his home planet or let it be destroyed in order to restore the fate of his future grandson. Seg fights along side a time traveler from Earth by the name of Adam Strange to redeem his family's honor and protect his loved ones while also saving the future of his legacy from DC super villain, Brainiac. 

This complete first series set is 10 one-hour episodes plus a variety of bonus features like gag reel deleted scenes, 2017 Comic Con panel, and more. 

Krypton is based on the DC characters that were created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster. You can catch up on the entire first season just in time for the second season premier on SYFY.

I've just started the series myself, and find it pretty interesting. It's a new take on the origin of DC's classic superhero, Superman, and is a fun watch even if you aren't a comic book fan. And if you're a real DC comic geek, be sure to keep an eye and ear out for all the Superman Easter Eggs thrown into the season. The series really ties a lot together and may answer some questions about the time before Superman existed and what lead up to the destruction of his home planet.
