Snerdy Update: December 2018
It's been a busy few months. So busy, in fact, that I never posted a Snerdy Update for November. But rest assured, now that the holidays are over, I can get right back to it.
The last few months have been absolute chaos for me. I've kind of been going through a lot (bad and good) which at one point ended up with me in the hospital. I'm okay now obviously, but I've spent more time focusing on myself and my family the last few months. Which explains why you haven't really saw much from me here on the blog or social media. I won't get into everything, but I will touch on a few of the positive things that I've been up to, as well as some upcoming things.

Sporting my newest top (and band tattoo!) featuring my friend's band! It just happens to have my favorite lyrics on the back: "You don't know peace 'til you've had suffering." |
Convention season is also fast approaching. I'll be at 3 Rivers Con on Mother's Day weekend and East Coast Comic Con and Monster Mania soon afterwards. There are other conventions coming up that I may be attending, but those are not set in stone yet. We have a trip to Disney World for Halloween and I'm hoping Galaxy's Edge will be open at that time so I can cover it for you all. While there we will be attending the Halloween party as well as Food & Wine Festival.
#CurrentlyListening
This month's playlist consists of a lot of my friend's band (always has, to be honest), but I've also kind of fallen in love with Post Malone. Okay, yes, I know I am going to catch some crap for that one, but his music is pretty catchy if I'm being honest. My current obsession is also this song:
In real nerd fashion, I've been marathoning Doctor Who lately. I've also finished the new season of Fuller House, Black Mirror's Interactive Full Length Film: Bandersnatch, and Bird Box. I haven't watched much television or movies lately. Typically when my television is on, I have Youtube Music up and music videos are playing.
#CurrentlyReading
I have so many advanced copies of books that have been sent to me to review for you all, but with everything that's been going on I either haven't had much time to sit and read or when I do sit down to enjoy a book, I just can't get into it. I think I've reached that point in the year where I've experienced serious burn out. My Goodreads goal for 2018 was 25 books, which I ended up surpassing by reading 37. For 2019 I plan to increase my goal to 50, so hopefully my burnout goes away and I can get back into reading again.
