Santa Bruce Book and Collectors Ornament + Giveaway!
Christmas is coming up fast whether we like it or not. And I've always felt it was important to have holiday traditions as a family. One holiday tradition a lot of families adopt is reading a special holiday book on Christmas eve or even in the days leading up to Christmas Eve. One thing I do know for sure is that Santa Bruce is going to become your new holiday favorite.
Disney Book Group is partnering with me for this giveaway! The following post may contain affiliate links. See my Privacy Policy for full disclosure and more.
This book is my first introduction into Bruce the Bear, but my daughter told me that she's read some of the Bruce books at her school library so she was already familiar with this adorable grumpy bear, Bruce.
In this book, the baby forest animals think Bruce the Bear is santa, and despite Bruce's grumpiness about the situation, his friends the mice, help him make it the best Christmas ever for the other forest animals.
This book is adorable and entertaining for every age, with fully illustrated pages and easy to read for the littles to read through on their own. I have to admit that even I giggled a bit at a few parts. We have a few traditions already as a family, one including gifting my children with new pajamas, hot cocoa, snacks, and a book or movie (or both) on Christmas Eve because our newest tradition is actually just staying in our pajamas on Christmas day. Even though we host family dinner, everyone is always encouraged to wear their PJ's and slippers to our home so we are all comfy and warm while spending time together. I think reading Santa Bruce (and hanging the cute ornament that you can enter to win) can become a new Christmas tradition for many families.
Santa Bruce is the 4th book in the Bruce series by author Ryan T. Higgins and is in stores now. Pick your family up a copy and while you are at it, pick up a few extra copies for other families on your holiday list, because this is sure to be holiday favorite with everyone.

About Santa Bruce
Bruce is a lot of things. He is a bear. He is a grump. He is a pretty decent cook. And he is a mother. One thing Bruce is not? Santa Claus. But that doesn’t stop the whole forest from lining up to give him their Christmas wishes when he becomes the victim of mistaken identity—again. Kids will howl with laughter as award-winning author-illustrator Ryan T. Higgins delivers another hilarious story about this bear who just can't catch a break.
About the Author
Ryan T. Higgins (ryanthiggins.com) is an author and illustrator who likes the outdoors and cheese sandwiches. He is NOT a grumpy old black bear, but he DOES like making books about one—starting with the best-selling Mother Bruce, which received the E. B. White Read-Aloud Award and the Ezra Jack Keats New Illustrator Honor. He lives in Maine with his wife and kids… and too many pets.
