All Aboard The Book Bus!
Have I ever told you how much we love books? Oh I have? Daily? Well, let me tell you again how much we love books.
My children have a pretty impressive library on their own which rivals my husband and I's collection of books. We love books so much that we make sure there are books given for every birthday and holiday, as well as "good behavior" prizes. We do the book fair twice a year, especially the buy one get one free book fair they always hold in the spring. But nothing is as spectacular as getting a box of books in the mail!
Book Bus is a book subscription box for children ages 0-6 which is split into two boxes. There is a board book subscription for ages 0-3 and a picture book box for ages 3-6. My son is 4, so we chose the picture book box.
The books come packaged so nicely that you could definitely give this as a gift! They are wrapped in paper and tied with a bow. Thinking on it, you cold easily get a 12 month subscription and save the books for Christmas. Two books a month means you could let your child open one book each day as a countdown to Christmas. As I have noticed, kids really enjoy the excitement of opening books that are wrapped in pretty, eye catching papers as opposed to just thrown in a box and covered in a sheet of tissue paper.
The box we received was a huge hit in our house!
We really loved the 100 Things That Make Me Happy book.
The words are really easy for my 4 year old to read by himself and the photos are really adorable. You can use this as a way to open conversation with your children by asking them what their favorite things are.
As an added surprise, the slip cover of the book had the full 100 things on the inside cover of it like a poster! How cute is that?!
The second book we received in the July box was this Count the Sheep to Sleep book, which ended up being a great bedtime story!
My kids love the silly story of this and the bright colors of the illustrations.
This box was so adorable and I highly recommend it, and it would make a really sweet baby shower gift for any new mom. It would really help build baby's library and start a love of learning and reading, as well as inspiring imagination and creativity.
