November 2016 Degustbox Unboxing

Every month is like Christmas when the mail man delivers our DegustBox. I'm a self proclaimed "foodie" and what foodie doesn't love a box full of new foods and beverages to try? 

This month's DegustBox had a number of things I had never tried from brands I already have heard of. And one thing I have noticed since getting these boxes, is that I notice brands more often. I previously would have walked right past a lot of these in the store on my way to pick up brands I typically already purchase, but as I was at Walmart last weekend, while shopping for party food, I immediately noticed a lot of these brands and stopped to check out their other flavors or products. 

So not only does this box give you the ability to try new things, but it makes you more aware of other brands and in the end, that ends up being a win/win situation for everyone! 

In a previous box, we got a package of Honees drops, but they were the Honey Menthol ones and while they worked fabulously, they were kind of gross tasting, in my opinion. These ones are the Honey Lemon, which are much better for my tastes. My husband claimed the Honey Menthol for himself. They really do work though! Hubby and I used quite a few of these when we were both sick recently and they were instant relief. 

I've seen Beanitos around quite a bit and have even tried some that came in an Influenster box about a year ago. So I already knew I would like these. They are crisp and taste great. What I like about them is that they are better for you than the fried corn chips because they are made with White, Pinto, and Black Beans and the variety of flavors is impressive. They are great by themselves, but really good with salsa as well. 

We love Jerky in this house so we were happy to see that we received a bag of Chef's Cut jerky in this box. This particular flavor was Chipotle Cracked Pepper. These were tender and delicious. I thought they would be spicier, but to my surprised they were sweet! I prefer spicy jerky,myself, but my husband absolutely loved this flavor. You get a nice snack portion and they aren't tough and hard to eat. 

I'm obsessed with olives. I could sit and eat an entire jar all by themselves. These ones came in a snack size which is great for on the go! I added mine to a salad and it kicked it up a notch. The basil and garlic is delicious and adds a little more flavor to the already flavorful olives. They aren't tiny either, these were pretty good sized olives! 

Who doesn't love chocolate?! These are dark chocolates with a slight hint of blueberry and cherry flavor to them. The blueberry was good, but man the cherry was my favorite. It was like eating a chocolate covered cherry, but without the gooey mess. 

This month, you either received a box of salted caramel k cups or a bottle of vinegar depending on the profile survey you filled out. I received both as an influencer so I could try both out for you.

The salted caramel k-cups are amazing! Imagine smooth, creaming caramel in the morning for breakfast. This coffee is flavorful and oh so good. The vinegar is great added to dishes or used to make dressings. 

This is the first month where I didn't have the opportunity to try out products in a particular recipe and share it with you guys. My husband and I's vow renewal tok up a lot of our time. So the Brianna's Poppy Seed dressing and Sharwoods Tikka Masala sauce are currently in my pantry waiting for me to do just that. I'm looking forward to trying both as these aren't products that I would typically use or buy. However, that's the reason I love DegustBox so much! I have the opportunity to try things I normally wouldn't and take my family out of our comfort zone with tastes.

There were also two can's of Ginger Beer in this box that my husband tried out. I did take a little taste myself to see how they were, but they weren't my cup of tea, so to speak. There was a punch of ginger taste and it reminded me of medicine, but it was interesting to try out!
