#NSNation Journey: Week 11 Results
Everyone who tries to lose weight knows of it and has been through it. The dreaded plateau. I've hit that plateau for the last three weeks and I've yet to figure out how to get out of it. I tried making sure I'm eating enough (because sometimes not eating enough can make you hit that wall) even though sometimes that's a struggle because I'm full long before I ate everything I was supposed to for the day. I've tried switching up my exercise routine, adding more lean proteins, adding more weight training than cardio, I drink the recommended amount of water, very little to no sugar, no or low sodium... I started at 140 pounds and have hit 127, but my weight tends to fluctuate between 127 and 130. I know that the scale isn't always the most accurate way to determine if your weight loss journey has been effective and that measurements are more accurate, but dang is it frustrating. Sometimes I wonder if this is as low as my body will go weight wise, and if so, then that's okay. My current weight is the average weight for my height and ultimately my main goal was to be physically and mentally healthier and transition into a healthier lifestyle, which I definitely did. So in the end, I guess I still hit a goal, even if it wasn't one on the scale.
There is a tip that I stumbled upon recently that I'm trying and that's to drink a hot beverage ( I prefer unsweetened green tea) before every meal. I guess it fills you up and keeps you from eating too much. I'm starting that this week and we'll see how well that works. Until then, I'm pressing on. This next week is my last week blogging my Nutrisystem journey and I can tell you that I am going to continue on my journey, because despite the plateau, it's actually worked really well for me and I feel a million times better since starting on my journey. Check back next week for my final thoughts on my 12 week journey.
