Celebrate Father's Day With The Please Touch Museum!
Father's Day is fast approaching and if you are in the Philadelphia area, I highly suggest taking a visit to the Please Touch Museum for their Father's Day Weekend events!
The Please Touch Museum, located at Memorial Hall, Fairmount Park in Philadelphia, PA is a huge museum that houses (both inside and out) a ton of hands on activities for children of all ages and even adults! I believe that kids learn better through touch and interaction and the Please Touch Museum is such a great way for kids to have fun while also learning about the world around them.
Their Father's Day Weekend events run all day and run from Saturday, June 20th - Sunday, June 21st. There are lots of awesome indoor and outdoor activities to help celebrate not only Father's Day, but the first day of summer with the Summer Block party!
Bubble Play
Stomp Rockets
Kinetic Sand
Riding Toy Play
Hula hoops
Chalk Drawing
Family relay and obstacle course
Are only a few of the many activities that will keep you and your little ones busy learning, being active, and spending time together as a family.
Saturday, June 20th Only
10:00 AM: Summer Games featuring obstacle courses and more!
11:00 AM City Park: Storytime featuring books about dad
12:00 PM: Drums in Hamilton Hall!
1:00 PM: Rainbow Stew – A healthy eating program focused on the value of eating a balanced diet. Practice naming and sorting fruits and vegetables by color. Each color represents a health benefit gained from eating those fruits and veggies. Play a very silly, and physically active game to remember the foods and their benefits, all while compiling their ingredients into a giant RAINBOW STEW!

Members will be able to access the Museum at 9:00 AM before the Museum opens to the public at 11:00 AM. Enjoy snacks, card making activities for dad, a private meet & greet and dance party at 10:30 AM with Curious George and more!
Other fun activities include:
Jumbo connecting disks, Crazy Aaron's thinking putty, Light table magnetic toy, parachute games, and a dance party to round out the day!
There are so many incredible exhibits to explore. My favorite is the Alice in Wonderland exhibit, which transports visitors straight into the Lewis Carroll classic.
The Please Touch Museum also offers space for birthday parties and weddings as well! So if you are looking for a unique location with lots of fun for guest, it's definitely worth checking out!
